TOWN MANAGER/EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR fi~7 <br />SUBJECT PROJECT 09-06 =LOS GATOS LIBRARY PROJECT 411-821-2501 <br />APPROVE THE PARCEL MAP FOR 100 VILLA AVENUE (LOS GATOS <br />LIBRARY) <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve the Parcel Map for 100 Villa Avenue (Los Gatos Library). <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The construction of the new Los Gatos .Library necessitates the realigiunelzt of Villa Avenue, <br />abandomnent of public right of way, consolidation of several Town-owned properties, and t11e <br />relocation of a number of existing utility lines. <br />On January 19, 2010, the Town Council adopted Ordinance 2184 "Planned development <br />application PD-09-001 for the Civic Center Master Plan and Construction of a-New Library, <br />Merging Four Parcels, Malting a Zone Change From C-1, C-2, RC, & RM:S-12 to C-1:PD and <br />Relocating a Historic Residence (17 Fiesta Way)". <br />DISCUSSION: <br />The approved planned development requires a realignment of Villa Avenue to accommodate the <br />new library.
