AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE No. 283 OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS ENTITLED "AIL ORDINANCE LICENSING THE TRANSACTION AND CARRYING ON OF CERTAIN BUSINESSES TRADES PROFESSIONS, CALLINGS AND OCCUPA- TIONS IN THE TORN OF LOS GATOS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF RAISING MUNI- CIPAL REVENUE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF." THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Ordinance No. 283 of the Town of Los _..~Gatos entitled "An Ordinance Licensing the Transaction and Carry- ing on of Certain Businesses, Trades, Professions, Callingsand Occupations in the Town of Los Gatos, for the Purpose of Raising Municipal Revenue and Providing a Penalty for the Violation Thereof," passed and adopted by the Town Council of Town of Los Gatos on the 2nd day of June, 1947, 'oe, and the same is hereby amended to add a new Section 20 reading as follows: SECTION 20 A EXTENSION OF TIME FOR FILING STATEMENT AND PAYMENT OF LICENSE TAX WHERE THE LICENSE TAX IS BASED UPON THE AMOUNT OF GROSS RECEIPTS OF THE APPLICANT. Where the license to be paid under any section of this ordinance is based upon gross receipts the timefor filing of the written statement upon a form furnished by the Collector as required by Section 9 (b) and Section 10 of said ordinance, is hereby extended to February 15 of each year and not withstanding any other provision of this ordinance, no penalty shall be imposed for failure to pay when due any annual license tax based upon gross receipts (other than annual license taxes coverin new operations commenced after the first day of January if the same is paid on or before February 15 of each year. Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days from and after date of its passage and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage it shall be published once with the names of the members voting for and against the same in the 47 )PY4 Q A101 -0 a newspaper published in the Town of Los Gatos.
