T ~ r ORDINANCE NO. 309 AN ORDINANCE REGULAT'IN'G THE COLOR OF SIDEWALKS, CURBS, AND GUTTERS IN THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 247 of the Town of Los Gatos and the California State Vehicle Code provide for colored curb mark- ings to indicate no parking, limited time parking, and loading zones; and the colors "red","yellow", "white", and "green" are Fused; and VTHEREAS, should these colors be used in or on curbs and sidewalks within the Town of Los Gatos it would be confusing to the operators of vehicles in the Town of Los Gatos and materially intartre.-with the regulation of traffic in the Town of Los Gatos. NOW, THEREFORE, THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to construct any sidewalk, curb or gutters within the Town of Los Gatos containing the colors "redayellow" "white" or "green" or any combination of colors which will result in a finished sidewalk. curb or gutter giving the appearance of the color "red", "yellow","white", or "green". Section 2. Any person violating any provision of this ordin- ance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding Five Hundred Dollars 0500.00), or by imprisonment in the County jail of the County of Santa Clara,for a period not exceeding six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days from and after date of its passage and before the`` -1-
