ORDINANCE NO. 1512 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS <br />AMENDING THE TOWN CODE CONCERNING <br />PERMIT EXPIRATION <br />THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS ORDAINS: <br />SECTION 1. <br />Section 7.01.145 of the Town Code of the Town of Los Gatos is amended <br />to read: <br />SECTION 2. <br />Sec. 7.01.145. Permits, Expiration <br />Every Permit issued by the Building Official expires by limitation and <br />becomes void if either the work authorized by such permit is not commenced <br />within 180 days from the date the permit is issued, or the work authorized <br />by the permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after it is commenced <br />for a period of 180 days. When a permit has expired under the terms of this <br />section, work shall not be begun or commenced until a new permit is <br />obtained. The fee for such new permit is half that for a new permit for <br />such work, if no changes are made in the original plans and specifications, <br />and if the delay, suspension or abandonment has not exceeded one year. <br />EXCEPTION: <br />Provision for half fee for new Permit shall not apply when fee refunds <br />has been made as provided in Section 7.01.165b. <br />This ordinance takes effect 30 days after the date it is adopted. Within <br />15 days after this ordinance is adopted the Town Clerk shall cause it to be <br />published once in a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated <br />in the Town. <br />The foregoing ordinance was duly and regularly introduced at a regular <br />meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos held on the 20th day of <br />July , 1981. <br />-1- <br />
