RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF LOS GATOS CONCERNING AMENDMENTS TO THE
LAND USE AND CIRCULATION ELEMENTS AND THE
LAND USE PLAN OF THE GENERAL PLAN
WHEREAS, under Government Code section 65355, the Town Council of
the Town of Los Gatos conducted a public hearing for consideration of
amendments to the General Plan on December 3, 1979, and
WHEREAS, during this hearing the Town Council considered all of
the items shown in Resolution No. 79 -5 of the Planning Commission.
RESOLVED: The Town Council adopts the following changes or additions:
a. The Land Use Plan and Circulation Element be amended to
change the name of Route 85 from the proposed West Valley
Freeway to proposed West Valley Transportation Corridor
as shown on attached Exhibit A.
b. The Land Use Plan and Circulation Element be amended to
show Knowles Drive instead of Pollard Road, and the extension
of Knowles Drive to Dell Avenue as shown on attached Exhibit B.
c. The large freeway to freeway interchange symbol be removed
from the Land Use Plan and Circulation Element as shown on
attached Exhibit C.
d. The legend on the Land Use Plan be amended to delete the
freeway - freeway interchange and to add a symbol for
emergency access as shown on attached Exhibit D.
e. The Arroyo Grande Way /Garden Hill Drive loop be added to the
Land Use Plan and Circulation Element as a collector as shown
on attached Exhibit E.
f. Camino del Sol be deleted from the Land Use Plan and Circulation
Element as a collector as shown on attached Exhibit F.

g. Vista del Monte be added to the Land Use Plan and Circulation
Element as a collector as shown on attached Exhibit G.
h. Pennsylvania Avenue and Overlook Road be added to the Circulation
Element and Land Use Plan as a mountain collector as shown on
attached Exhibit H.
i. Make the following modifications to the College Avenue /Prospect
Avenue /Foster Road loop as shown on attached Exhibit I:
(1) Delete Prospect Avenue as a mountain collector
between College Avenue and Guadalupe College,
(2) Designate a new mountain collector from Guadalupe College
to Alma Bridge Road as the only access to Guadalupe College
except for emergency access to Foster Road, and
(3) Add Alma Bridge Road as a mountain collector.
j. Inclusion of Maya Way /Blackberry Hill Road /Mireval Road loop as
a mountain collector as shown on attached Exhibit I.
k. Inclusion of the Long Meadow Drive /Brooke Acres Drive loop,
Wooded View Drive /Suview Drive loop, and Forrester Road /Top
of the Hill Road loop as mountain collectors as shown on
attached Exhibit J.
1. Deletion of the cross connection between Shannon Road and
Kennedy Road as shown on attached Exhibit J.
m. Inclusion of Shady Lane, Sky Lane, Fireman's Fund, Heintz
road pattern as mountain collectors as shown on attached
Exhibit K.
n. Inclusion of Harwood Road /Santa Rosa Drive with emergency
connection as shown on attached Exhibit K.
o. Inclusion of Harwood Road /Burke Road as a mountain collector
as shown on attached Exhibit K.
p. The Arnerich Road /Deer Park Road loop be shown on the Land
Use Plan and Circulation Element as a mountain collector as
shown on attached Exhibit L.

FURTHER RESOLVED. The Town Council finds that items "a" through
"g" will not have a significant impact on the environment, that the environ-
mental impacts of items "h" through "p" were assessed in the environmental
impact report certified by the Town Council with the adoption of the Los
Gatos Hillside Specific Plan, and makes the negative declaration.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos at
a regular meeting held this 17th day of December
1979, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS Ruth Cannon, Thomas J. Ferrito,
Mardi Gualtieri, Peter W. Siemens and John B. Lochner
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS none
ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS none
ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS none
