Attachment 29Dorrie Romero Subject: FW : Openings on commission and Alberto Way -----Original Message----- From : Carol Musser <ccmusser@aol.com> To: robrennie3 <robrennie3@aol.com> Sent: Mon , Apr 2 , 2018 3:55 pm Subject: Re: Openings on commission and Alberto Way Hi Rob, Thanks for sending me this notice on the opening. I would have to take a look and find out more about the position and obligations. It could interest me. The time to apply is soon and I am going to be out of town for awhile . I will let others know about these openings . On another note , as time is short on Council meeting tomorrow night regarding the Alberto Way Project. I went online to Town site and could not find any information or agenda . Since I have your eyes and ears and I believe there is not enough time to contact the other Council members, I am totally in support of this project. I am so sorry I did not speak at the last meeting when the long parade of the Commons residents presented their oposition with issues totally about the view. In short , I have supported this project from the beginning and think it's a great project and use for so many reasons. Including type of complex and tenants , underground parking , access , traffic , nice set backs and front view and overall design. They have met the guidelines and made requested changes . I believe it will be a real asset to our community with jobs and business serving . I have looked at the views extensively from every way and do not see a detraction or elimination of views . I see an enhancement with their project as now it is overgrown , unsightly. The plans present an attractive structure that will open up the area with generous set backs and lots of curb appeal. I have attached photos I took last week regarding the view. They were taken from sitting inside of Grill 57 across the street. You can see the orange story nets and get a perspective of the views. I appreciate if you will take a look. You can share my photos and my comments with Council because this is such a late submission to you . I hope you and Council will look favorably at this project. I know also there is a lot of rumble and discontent with Council from many in our community. You do a great job on the council. I know you give a great deal of thought on your decisions. I've heard your summeries after you have listened to all the discussions and I've appreciated your responses. I will check out position openings. Thank you Rob . Jennifer Armer From: Sent: To: Subject: Jean Farren Jones <jfjones39@yahoo .com > Monday, April 02, 2018 8:25 PM Jennifer Armer A meeting between Shane Arters and representatives from Los Gatos Commons and Pueblo de Los Gatos On March 27, 2018 Shane Arters requested a meeting to discuss a "compromise, peace, and working together for a win/win". On March 29 2 representatives from The Commons and 2 representatives of Pueblo met with him and heard his proposal of 70,000 square feet and 72 feet set back. They told him they had to meet with their boards and would get back to him. On March 30 The Commons wrote back to Mr. Arters that we would like to meet and negotiate a possible compromise. He did not follow up. Again we want the March 21 2018 LP new proposal to go before the Town Council so we can have an opportunity to comment and hopefully have another opportunity to negotiate a compromise with the developer. I understand that this is a tedious and exhausting process, but I ask that you stay true to what is right for our beautiful community of Los Gatos. The residents of Las Casitas down the road suggested a 64,000 sq . ft. office complex as a "compromise" with the developer Randy Lamb . To be clear, that was not agreed upon nor discussed with the residents of Pueblo de Los Gatos. Therefore, I ask that you disregard this suggestion because: 1) it is still too large-more than twice the size of the complex that is currently in place 2) they will not be as directly affected by this eyesore of a project that will go on for this massive complex 3) they are mostly retired residents who do not need to commute to and from work so they will not be as directly affected by the increase in traffic in and out of Alberto Way and 4) they have much more parking at their complex, so their parking will not be comprised like ours. It was a short-sighted, premature, and inappropriate request on behalf of the residents of Las Casitas , and also served in a way to divide our peaceful and unified community . Therefore, I ask that you disregard this proposal and leave it to the experts on the Planning Commission to decide what is an appropriate size and fit for any build ing occupying that space in our town . Thanks again for your time, Paulette Sato 420 Alberto Way #26
