SUBJECT: ADOPT THE POLICY COMMITTEE’S RECOMMENDATIONS FOR
MODIFICATIONS TO THE YOUTH COMMISSION ENABLING RESOLUTION TO
BE EFFECTIVE FOR THE 2018-19 YOUTH COMMISSION RECRUITMENT
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt the Policy Committee’s recommendations for modifications to the Youth Commission
Enabling Resolution to be effective for the 2018-19 Youth Commission recruitment.
BACKGROUND:
At the March 15, 2018 Policy Committee meeting, the Committee discussed the Youth
Commission’s proposed modifications (Attachment 1) to the Youth Commission Enabling
Resolution (Attachment 2) and directed staff to forward the recommendations to the Council.
ALTERNATIVES:
Alternatives to the recommendation provided above include:
1. Adopt one of the other options contained on page 2 of the Policy Committee Staff
Report Addendum.
2. Adopt other modifications identified by Council.
3. Not adopt the recommendations.
4. Provide other direction to staff.
