ROLL CALL Present: Mayor Rob Rennie, Vice Mayor Steve Leonardis, Council Member Marcia Jensen, Council Member Marico Sayoc, Council Member Barbara Spector. Absent: None PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Mayor Rob Rennie led the Pledge of Allegiance. The audience was invited to participate. CLOSED SESSION REPORT Robert Schultz, Town Attorney, stated Council met in Closed Session as duly noted on the agenda and there is no report. VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS Mark Brodsky - Spoke about Santa Clara Valley 3.0. Kyra Denison - Spoke about composting and implementation of composting in our Town . Jack Van Nada - Spoke about OPEB expense. Maria Ristow - Spoke about school busing. Tom Picraux - Spoke about including senior issues in the priorities for next Fiscal Year. OTHER BUSINESS 1. Priority Setting Session Laurel Prevetti, Town Manager, presented the staff report. PAGE 2 OF 5 SUBJECT: DRAFT MINUTES OF THE TOWN COUNCIL MEETING OF DECEMBER 12, 2017 DATE: DECEMBER 6, 2017 Opened Public Comment Angelia Doerner - Spoke about how to monitor prioritization efforts throughout the year and keeping a running balance of funding for each priority. Jennifer Liebthal - Requested that the Council add a priority to address a comprehensive solution for permit parking on Loma Alta and nearby streets affected by student parking. David Weissman - Spoke about completing the fence ordinance. Laura Knol - Spoke about parking congestion on Loma Alta and the need for permit parking. Jeff Loughridge - Spoke about BPAC’s accomplishments. Peter Hertan - Suggested that it was premature to sell or lease Town properties given the Town’s needs for affordable housing and parking. Ryan Finchel - Spoke about permit parking on Loma Alta. Mary Goulart - Requested that the Town add a senior coordinating position. David Klinger - Spoke about a fence ordinance for non-hillside areas. Brayton Gosling - Spoke about using the Town’s Transient Occupancy Tax to promote the Town and tourism. Closed Public Comment Council discussed the matter and the following table indicates the comments provided by each Council member regarding items to remove, continue, and add as potential new priorities.
