RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
TO SET A DATE FOR CONSIDERATION OF A REORGANIZATION
OF AN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED
SHANNON ROAD NO. 28

PROPERTY OWNER /APPLICANT: FRED SAHADI
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos has received a request for
annexation of territory designated Shannon Road No. 28 from Fred Sahadi; and
WHEREAS, the property, 12.95 acres located at 15215 Shannon Road, APN: 537 -25 -002,
is contiguous to the Town of Los Gatos and within the Town's Urban Service Area; and
WHEREAS, the following special district would be affected by the proposal: Santa Clara
County Library Service Area; and
WHEREAS, the annexation would provide for use of Town services; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council adopted Ordinance 2258 in 2017 zoning the subject
territory with HR- 2 % ::PD (Hillside Residential, Planned Development) zoning designation; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos, as Lead Agency for environmental review for the
reorganization has determined annexation of the subject property is exempt from the California
Environmental Quality Act guidelines, pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3); and
WHEREAS, the County Surveyor of Santa Clara County has found the description and
map (Exhibits A and B) to be in accordance with Government Code Section 56757, the
boundaries to be definite and certain, and the proposal to be in compliance with LAFCO's road

annexation policies; and
WHEREAS, as provided in Government Code Section 56757, the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos shall be the conducting authority for a reorganization including an
annexation to the Town; and
WHEREAS, the territory is uninhabited and all owners of land included in the proposal
have consented to this annexation; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 56663(a) provides that if a petition for annexation
is signed by all owners of land within the affected territory the Town Council may approve or
disapprove the annexation without public hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos
hereby initiates annexation proceedings and will consider annexation of the territory
designated as Shannon Road No. 28 at its regular meeting on September 5, 2017.

REAL PROPERTY in the unincorporated area of the County of Santa Clara, State of California,
being all of that parcel of land described in the grant deed, recorded March 16, 2010, in
Document No. 20641964 of Official Records, Santa Clara County Records, situate in a portion
of Section 23, Township 8 South, Range 1 West. M.D. M, described as follows:
BEGINNING at an angie point in the Town of Los Gatos Limit Line as established by Shannon
Road No. 16 Annexation, being the northeasterly corner of said annexation;
Thence along the general northerly line of said annexation, the following five courses:

2. Thence South 08 053'00" West, 215.36 feet;
3. Thence South 83 °43'00" West, 122.55 feet;
4. Thence North 89 005'00 "" West, 276.00 feet;

as established by Shannon Road No. 13 Annexation;
Thence along the northerly and easterly lines of said annexation, the following three courses:

7. Thence North 77 °17'00" West, 279.20 feet;
8. Thence North 20 042'00" East, 438.70 feet, to the southerly Town of Los Gatos Limit Line
as established by Blossom Hill Number One -A Annexation;
9. Thence along said southerly line, East, 1,060.11 feet, to the southerly Town of Los Gatos
Limit Line as established by Blossom Hill Road No. 20;
10. Thence along said southerly line, East, 217.69 feet, to the easterly line of said parcel of
land;
11. Thence along said easterly line, South 20 °34'00" West, 348.94 feet, to the POINT OF
BEGINNING_
