SUBJECT: REAFFIRMATION OF THE LOS GATOS TOWN COUNCIL CODE OF CONDUCT
POLICY 2-04
RECOMMENDATION:
Reaffirm the Los Gatos Town Council Code of Conduct Policy.
DISCUSSION:
On March 3, 2015 the Town Council approved the revised Town Council Code of Conduct Policy,
as recommended by the Council Policy Committee.
The current Town Council Code of Conduct Policy 2-04 is provided as Attachment 1.
The Council Code of Conduct Policy provides guidelines and procedures related to the Town
Council's relations and communications with: each other; Boards and Commissions; t he public;
the media; and Town staff.
In addition, the Policy describes appropriate Council roles and behaviors before, during and
outside of Council meetings, including the specific duties of the Mayor, Vice Mayor and Council
liaisons.
Given the Council's long-standing commitment to professional and collegial relations as
reflected in and supported by the Council Code of Conduct Policy, it is recommended that the
Council annually reaffirm the Policy.

FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact associated with reaffirming the Council Code of Conduct Policy.
ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT:
This is not a project under CEQA requiring environmental review.
