Subject: Dittos Lane property
Los Gatos Town Council,
With Dittos Lane property again on the agenda and I wanted to express my support for what I
believe is the best possible outcome for the property:
2 low income units built there at a similar size & height of the previous buildings (built by
someone like Habitat for Humanity). This would hopefully not require the widening of Dittos
lane or any re-zoning of the property.
No matter what becomes of this property I urge you to look into all possible uses that do not
require a widening of Dittos lane - which would be horrible for the properties along Dittos (El
Gato apartments and the 4-plex) and would invite a high-density use that would snarl traffic.
Other ideas that may avoid the dreaded widening of Dittos:
1. A Park or other open space
2. A storage lot for property such as trucks and equipment for the Town, or other similar
agency, or perhaps even a company such as Verizon, PG&E or Comcast.
3. A community pool and/or recreation center (not necessarily owned by the Town)
Thank you for your time and concern on making the best use of this property for everyone while
taking into account its considerable constraints.
