President Barney Davmdge Dear Council, I have reviewed the two proposed designs and have also been part of the Vice President Rick Van Russel, Stakeholder discussions. As a representative of NUMU 1 would like to express Mary Luce my concern for the impact these designs will have on the Museum in terms of Secretary Mary location, scale, intrusion into our space and aesthetics. Ellen Kaschub important memorial: one that is sensitive to surrounding use and design and Treasurer worthy and appropriate, thoughtful and meaningful reflection on the valor and Caner Crun1 The location of the proposed memorial — adjacent to the NUMU Sculpture Past President Garden does not seem like the best spot for a contemplative space. Both visually Jeffrey Jamll, Esq. and conceptually it will overshadow our Sculpture Garden and seems primed to be a place for young climbers during Music in the Park and other lively town Ma,raancappon -Javey gatherings. Mary Ellen Comport Bob Long The current scale of either design will overshadow the physical space and dominate the view of the museum from the street. If the wiggle walls are Peggy Koren allowed to become part of the project, they will create a massive design element Wheal Parsons that is out of scale to the delicate mid - century, award winning architecture. We are also concerned with how the overall designs fit into the current aesthetics of Mall Schachter the entire Plaza. Advisory Counui Jonathan KnovAes While both designs have their merit artistically, their scale and dominance will create a design concern however and whenever we may use the Sculpture John Kohler Garden. Mary Luce George Rivera It is our hope that the council finds the right scale and location for this very important memorial: one that is sensitive to surrounding use and design and Dan Springer worthy and appropriate, thoughtful and meaningful reflection on the valor and Ten, rsch sacrifice of our Veterans.
