RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
DECLARING ELECTION RESULTS OF MEASURE "N"
REGARDING THE ANNEXATION ELECTION OF
SHANNON ROAD #18 HELD ON
NOVEMBER 5, 1991
WHEREAS, a Special Consolidated Election was held in the Town of Los Gatos on
Tuesday, the 5th day of November, 1991, and was conducted in form and manner as
required by the law of the State of California governing the elections of General Law Cities
and,
WHEREAS, George A. Mann, Registrar of Voters of Santa Clara County has declared that
at the Election held on November 5, 1991, in the TOWN OF LOS GATOS for the purpose
of the Annexation of the Territory known as Shannon Road #18 and,
WHEREAS, the results of said Election were canvassed by the Office of the Santa Clara
County Registrar of Voters in accordance with applicable provisions of the California
Elections Code and,
WHEREAS, the Statement of Votes Cast, attached to this Certification, shows the whole
number of votes cast in said Annexation area and,
WHEREAS, the total number of registered voters in the proposed Annexation area was 482,
and the total number of votes cast in the Annexation area was 330, representing 68.5% of
the registered voters and,
WHEREAS, the total number of BALLOTS IN FAVOR OF MEASURE "N' and in favor
of Annexation to the Town of Los Gatos (including absentee votes) was 54 and,
WHEREAS, the total number of BALLOTS AGAINST MEASURE "N" and not in favor
of Annexation to the Town of Los Gatos (including absentee votes) was 276,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Marian V. Cosgrove, duly elected Clerk
of the Town of Los Gatos, hereby certify the following election results regarding the
Annexation of Shannon Road #18 to the Town of Los Gatos which reads as follows,
"Shall the order adopted on August 5, 1991, by the Town of Los Gatos
ordering the annexation to the Town of Los Gatos of the territory described
in that order and designated as Shannon Road No. 18, be confirmed ?" (Yes or No)
YES VOTE: 54 (Including absentee)
NO VOTE: 276 (Including absentee)
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Clerk shall enter upon the records of this Council the
results of the Annexation Election and shall duly sign and authenticate said results.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos, California, held on the 18th day of November, 1991 by the following vote:
