A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
A C -CAP GRANT AWARD AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, The Town wishes to undertake a certain project designated "Career
Criminal Apprehension Program" to be funded in part from funds made available through
the C -CAP Program administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter
referred to as OCJP);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos that the Town Manager is authorized to submit a proposal to OCJP and is authorized
to execute a Grant Award Agreement, including any extensions or amendments thereof.
The cover sheet of which is attached as Exhibit "A; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town will provide all matching funds
required for said project (including any amendment thereof) under the Program and the
funding terms and conditions of OCJP and that cash match will be appropriated as required.
IT IS AGREED that any liability arising out of the performance of this Grant Award
Agreement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the Town
on the understanding that the State of California and OCJP disclaim responsibility for any
such liability.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used
to supplant expenditures controlled by the Town Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos, California, held on the 2nd day of December, 1991, by the following vote:
