RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
CONCERNING AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSERVATION AND
HISTORIC PRESERVATION ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN
CHANGING THE QUALIFICATION DATE OF AN HISTORIC STRUCTURE
WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 65353, the Town Council
conducted a public hearing for consideration of an amendment to the Conservation and
Historic Preservation Element of the Los Gatos General Plan on December 16, 1991.
WHEREAS, during this hearing the Town Council considered General Plan
Amendment GP -91 -2 relating to the qualification date of an historic structure.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission considered this item on November 13, 1991.
RESOLVED: The Town Council finds that Los Gatos General Plan Amendment
GP -91 -2 is (a) internally consistent with the Town General Plan, and (b) that all
proceedings have been conducted in compliance with the provisions of Government Code
Section 65350 et seq.
FURTHER RESOLVED: The General Plan Conservation and Historic Preservation
Element is amended to read as follows:
8.5.6.f. All zoning or subdivision applications affecting building constructed prior to
1941 whether historically designated or not shall be reviewed by the Historic Preservation
Committee.
