RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
COMMENDING BARBARA KARLAN
FOR HER YEARS OF PUBLIC SERVICE
TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
WHEREAS, Barbara Karlan was hired by the Town on September 1, 1967; and
WHEREAS, since that time Barbara Karlan has served the Town as Library
Assistant I (September 1967), promoted to Library Assistant II (July 1972),
at which time she was promoted to the position of Library Assistant III on
July 13, 1986; and
WHEREAS, Barbara Karlan has fulfilled the requirements of these positions
faithfully; and
WHEREAS, this dedication to the Town of Los Gatos for 24 years culminated
with Barbara's retirement on February 20, 1992; and
WHEREAS, during her 24 years with the Town, she has made many friends
in the work place, and throughout the Town through her participation in the
Library and service to the citizens of the Town of Los Gatos; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council feels that such dedicated public service
deserves special recognition and commendation;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council does hereby
extend to Barbara Karlan its deepest appreciation for service faithfully
rendered, and its sincere hope that her retirement from the service of the
Town of Los Gatos is one of satisfaction and fulfillment.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos held on the 6th day of April, 1992 by the following vote:
