RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
COMMENDING STEVEN L. YEP FOR HIS DEDICATION TO PUBLIC SERVICE
AS A POLICE OFFICER WITH THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
WHEREAS, Steven L. Yep ( "Steve ") was hired by the Town on July 20, 1979; and
WHEREAS, since that time Steve has served the Town as a Police Officer, including
assignment as a Motorcycle Officer from July 1, 1981 through April 1, 1992; and
WHEREAS, Steve has dedicated his life to public service, playing a vital role in the
protection of human life and property and the preservation of law and order; and
WHEREAS, Steve has contributed to the Town's goal of providing quality services
to the community by performing his responsibilities as a Police Officer in the Police
Department; and
WHEREAS, this dedication to the Town of Los Gatos for 12 1/2 years culminated
with Steve's retirement on February 15, 1992 as a result of injuries sustained in the line of
duty; and
WHEREAS, during his 12 1/2 years with the Town, he has made many friends in the
work place and throughout the Town through his participation in the Police Department
and service to the citizens of the Town of Los Gatos; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council feels that such dedicated public service deserves
special recognition and commendation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos does hereby extend to Steven L. Yep its deepest appreciation for his dedicated public
service, faithfully and excellently rendered to the Town of Los Gatos and its citizens, and
its sincere hope that his retirement from the service of the Town of Los Gatos is one of
satisfaction and fulfillment.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos, California, held on the 4th day of May, 1992, by the following vote:
