1992-111-Establishing Compensation And Benefits For Confidential Employees Effective June 21, 1992 Through June 30, 1993RESOLUTION 1992 -111 RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS FOR CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES EFFECTIVE JUNE 21, 1992 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1993 BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, that the compensation and benefits for confidential employees effective June 21, 1992 through June 30, 1993, shall be as specified in the Memorandum of Understanding with the Town Employees' Association for 1992 -93, except as modified in Exhibit A incorporated here by reference. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, California, held on the 15th day of June, 1992 by the following vote: COUNCIL MEMBERS: AYES: Randy Attaway, Joanne Benjamin, Steven Blanton, Brent N. Ventura NAYES: None ABSENT: Mayor Eric D. Carlson ABSTAIN: None SIGNED: VIC .- AYOR OF THE TOW OF LOS GATOS LOOS, CALIFORNIA ATTEST: c CLERK OF THE TOWN-- LOS GATOS LOS GATOS, CALIFORNIA SUMMARY OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS AND CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES I. TERM - One year contract from July 1, 1992 to June 30, 1993. 2. SALARY AND OTHER COMPENSATION - Increase wage schedule by 4% effective June 21, 1992. Overtime - Increase maximum accumulation from 50 hours to 60 hours. Call Back - Clarified work rules related to call back and call back pay. Out -of- Classification Pav - Changed language to reflect ADA requirements relating to "Essential Functions" of a job. Bilingual Incentive Pau - Include language regarding the necessity to pass the Town's Certified Examination. Holiday Compensation - Language improved for clarification. Day Off - Language improved for clarification. Variable Salary Step Evaluation Process - New variable step Evaluation Process and performance incentive program. 3. HOLIDAYS - Language changed for clarification. 4. INSURANCE PROGRAMS AND RATE OF CONTRIBUTION Dental - Town to continue to cover the cost of Delta Dental family premium for employees who choose family medical coverage. Medical - Town to continue payment of medical insurance premiums equal to cost of Kaiser North family medical insurance offered by PERS Health Benefit Program. Disability - Town to provide new insurance carrier (UNUM) offering Short Term Disability for 90 days with Long Term Disability effective the 91st day. Worker's Compensation - Language changed to incorporate coordination of benefits with new Short Term Disability Policy. Disability and Worker's Compensation Committee - Changed to Medical Cost Containment Committee. Vision - Town to continue $120 reimbursement. 5. CASH ALLOCATION PLAN - Increase cash allocation from $353.75 per employee per month to $385.25 per employee per month. EXFIIB" 6. PERS - Amend contract with PERS to provide 2% at 55 retirement effective January, 1993, with Town to take credit towards future total compensation equal to the PERS contribution increase in any subsequent negotiations that cover the 1994 -95 fiscal year. The PERS contribution increase is scheduled to begin July 1, 1994. 7. VACATION AND LEAVES Vacation and Leave Scheduling - Language changed for clarification. Vacation Accrual - Language changed for clarification. Annual Leave - Language changed for clarification. Medical /Maternity Leave - Family Leave provision added for consistency with new State law. Jury Du - Reference to employee turning over compensation from courts to Town deleted. Leave Without Pay - Language added to include provision for Maternity /Family Leave Law. Leave Balances - Language changed for clarification. 8. FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT - Participation in a flexible spending account program.
