A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
WITH NATIONAL SHOOTING CLUB FOR
THE USE OF THEIR FIREARMS RANGE
WHEREAS, for the past eight years, the Town has entered into an annual agreement
with De Anza- Foothill Community College District to allow the Police Department use of
the indoor pistol range, and
WHEREAS, the most recent agreement expired on June 30, 1992, and
WHEREAS, indoor range training allows quarterly sessions without concern for
weather conditions, and provides consistent, structured training to ensure all Los Gatos
peace officers, regular and reserve, are proficient in the accurate and safe use of weapons
operation, and
WHEREAS, National Shooting Club submitted the lowest of three (3) bids for the
exclusive use of a firearms range;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos that the Town Manager is authorized to execute an agreement for use of National
Shooting Club on behalf of the Town.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos that
the Town Manager is authorized to renew this contract annually upon Council adoption of
the Police Department budget, provided that the amount of the next year's agreement be
identified specifically as a line item in the budget.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos, California, held on the 17th day of August, 1992, by the following vote:
