A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO SUBMIT A PROPOSAL
TO THE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING
FOR A CAREER CRIMINAL APPREHENSION PROGRAM GRANT
WHEREAS, The Town of Los Gatos desires to undertake a certain project
designated The Los Gatos Police Career Criminal Apprehension Program to be funded in
part from funds made available through the Career Criminal Apprehension Program
administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter referred to as OCJP).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos that the Town Manager of the Town of Los Gatos is authorized, on its behalf, to
submit the attached proposal to OCJP and is authorized to execute on behalf of the Town
Council of The Town of Los Gatos the attached Grant Award Agreement including any
extensions or amendments thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching
funds required for said project (including any amendment thereof) under the Program and
funding terms and conditions of OCJP and that the cash match will be appropriated as
required subject to Council approval of a Town budget with a line item for this purpose.
IT IS AGREED that any liability arising out of the performance of this Grant Award
Agreement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant
recipient and the authorizing agency. The State of California and OCJP disclaim
responsibility for any such liability.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be
used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos, California, held on the 7th day of December, 1992, by the following vote:
