REMARKS:
After the initial staff report was distributed, staff found discrepancies in Attachments 1 and 2.
Attachments 3 and 4 include the corrected grant information for Town Council review and
discussion.
In Attachment 3, the total grant allocation for FY 2015/16 Human Services grants are $90,000.
Parents Helping Parents received a $2,000 grant award in FY 2015 /16. This agency is not
included in the FY 2016 /17 funding recommendation because they did not submit a grant
application for FY 2016/17.
In Attachment 2, the total grant allocation for FY 2015/16 Arts, Cultural and Educational grants
are $19,800. The Town Council took action on January 19, 2016 to provide the Art Commission
with $7,000 to fund the Phase IV of the Forbes Mill Footbridge Revitalization Project and the
development of a comprehensive, multi -year public art plan. The Festival Theater Ensemble
notified the Town in the fall of 2015 that they would be ceasing operations beginning in FY
2016/17.
