RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
APPROVING EARLY RETIREMENT SETTLEMENT
WITH CAPTAIN ARTHUR ROY
WHEREAS, the Town Council adopted FY 93 -94 budget calls for the
elimination of one police captain position effective September 1, 1993; and
WHEREAS, this position will be permanently frozen; and
WHEREAS, to prevent a layoff, Captain Arthur Roy has voluntarily offered to
retire for a settlement equal to the PERS early retirement program.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos approve an early retirement settlement with Captain Roy of $35,000 to be paid in
two equal installments on September 1, 1993 and September 1, 1994.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos, California, held on the 2nd day of August, 1993 by the following vote:
