A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
WITH DICTAPHONE FOR THE PURCHASE OF A MULTI- CHANNEL,
DIGITAL LOGGING RECORDING SYSTEM THROUGH THE COUNTY OF
ALAMEDA'S PURCHASE ORDER #146 -0- 9966 -00
WHEREAS, the Dictaphone logging recorder is identified as due for replacement in the current
fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the County of Alameda installed a new communications system with delivery of
equipment in February 1993 in a bid award in excess of seven million dollars for communication
equipment that included a multi - channel logging system; and
WHEREAS, Dictaphone was the successful bidder on this specific item and has advised they
will honor Alameda County's bid to Los Gatos; and
WHEREAS, the bid is an 18.2% discount from list price; and
WHEREAS, Town Code Section 2.50.130(b)(2) authorizes the purchase of a commodity when
the purchase is to be made through a county or other public agency bid process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos that
the Town Manager is authorized to execute an agreement with Dictaphone for the purchase of a
multi - channel, digital logging recording system through the County of Alameda's purchase order
#146-0-9966-00.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos,
California, held on the 7th day of September, 1993, by the following vote:
