A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
WITH FOOTHILL -DE ANZA DISTRICT COMMUNITY COLLEGE

WHEREAS, for the past year, the Town has contracted with the National Shooting Club to allow
the Police Department use of the indoor pistol range; and
WHEREAS, this agreement expired on August 30, 1993; and
WHEREAS, indoor range training allows quarterly sessions without concern for weather conditions,
and provides consistent, structured training to ensure all Los Gatos peace officers, regular and reserve,
are proficient in the accurate and safe use of weapons operation; and
WHEREAS, Foothill -De Anza District Community College submitted the lowest bid for the
exclusive use of a firearms range.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos that
the Town Manager is authorized to execute an agreement with the Foothill -De Anza Community College
District for use of their firearms range.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos that the Town
Manager is authorized to renew this contract annually upon Council adoption of the Police Department
budget, provided that the amount of the next year's agreement be identified specifically as a line item in
the budget.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos,
California, held on the 1st day of November, 1993, by the following vote:
