A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH
ANDERSON CHEVROLET OF LOS GATOS FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2)
PARKING CONTROL VEHICLES PURSUANT TO TOWN CODE SECTION 2.50.130(b)(2)
AND (3)
WHEREAS, the two 1984 Jeeps currently in use by the Police Department were
scheduled for replacement in fiscal year 1990 -91; and
WHEREAS, a nationwide search revealed only eight manufacturers that make or
modify vehicles compatible for use as parking control vehicles which would be appropriate
in Los Gatos; and
WHEREAS, after a comparison of vehicles, Police Department and Corporation Yard
personnel feel the Geo Metro best meets our specifications and needs; and
WHEREAS, Geo Metro can be purchased and serviced through Anderson Chevrolet;
and
WHEREAS, Anderson Chevrolet will have the vehicles converted to right hand drive
for parking control use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos that the Town Manager is authorized to execute an agreement with Anderson
Chevrolet for the purchase of two (2) Parking Control Vehicles pursuant to Town Code
Section 20.50.130(b)(2) and (3).
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos, California, held on the 6th day of December, 1993, by the following vote:
