RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
INCREASING THE LIMITS OF DESIGN AUTHORITY FOR THE
DIRECTOR OF BUILDING AND ENGINEERING SERVICES AND
APPROVE RECENT CAPITAL PROJECTS
WHEREAS, the Director of Building and Engineering Services is the Town officer directly
responsible for the majority of the design and construction work carried out by the Town;
and
WHEREAS, professional services, such as engineering, architecture, and soils analysis, are
available to the Director of Building and Engineering Services in reviewing and approving
designs for the Town; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council has adopted the "Cost Accounting Polices And Procedures
Manual' as promulgated by the CALIFORNIA UNIFORM PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION
COST ACCOUNTING COMMISSION; and
WHEREAS, the interests of efficiency, accountability, and project management are well
served by delegating design approval authority for identified projects,
NOW BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa
Clara, State of California, that the Director of Building and Engineering Services is
authorized to review and approve the design of capital projects of $25,000 or less.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos, California, held on the 16th day of May, 1994, by the following vote.
