A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO SUBMIT A PROPOSAL TO
THE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING FOR A
CAREER CRIMINAL APPREHENSION PROGRAM GRANT
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos desires to continue the Los Gatos Police Department Career
Criminal Apprehension Program to be funded in part from funds made available through the Career
Criminal Apprehension Program administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter
referred to as OCJP); and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos that
the Town Manager of the Town of Los Gatos is authorized, on its behalf, to submit and is authorized to
execute on behalf of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, a second year Grant Award Agreement
including any extensions or amendments thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds required
for said project (including any amendment thereof) under the Program and funding terms and conditions
of OCJP and that the cash match will be appropriated as required subject to Council approval of a Town
budget with a line item for this purpose.
IT IS AGREED that any liability arising out of the performance of this Grant Award Agreement,
including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant recipient and the
authorizing agency. The State of California and OCJP disclaim responsibility for any such liability.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant
expenditures controlled by this body.

California, held on the 13th day of June, 1994, by the following vote:

This is a request to extend our grant period six months due to
equipment and construction delays. Our first hardware vendor declared
bankruptc#. The removal of aspestos delayed the remodeling of ,the
crime analysis /C -CAP office.
