RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AMENDING CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATIONS,
COMPENSATION AND WORK RULES FOR
FISCAL YEAR 1994 -1995
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, that the
compensation and benefits for confidential employees effective July 1, 1994 through June
30, 1995, shall be as specified in the Memorandum of Understanding with the Town
Employees' Association for 1994 -95, except as modified in Exhibit A incorporated here by
reference.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos, California, held on the 1st day of August, 1994 by the following vote:

Amendments to Confidential Employee Agreement
1. Term
The agreement is for July 1, 1994 - June 30, 1996,
2. Compensation
Salary July 1, 1994 - 0 %
July 1, 1995 - 4%
Cash Allocation August 1994 - 2%
August 1995 - 2%
Leave Accruals
Unlimited sick leave accruals. Sick leave accruals can only be cashed out at time of
retirement and for medical benefit premium purposes only.
Maximum vacation accrual of 310 hours with option of cashing out 40 hours on May 30
and 40 hours on November 30. Cash out payable in June and December respectively.
New accrual rate is effective January 1, 1995.
Eight additional hours of personal leave for a total of 24 hours per year.
4. Evaluation
Individual performance bonus in proportion to goals accomplished over 75% up to a
maximum of $1100 per year. Bonus program available to employees at top step.
In addition to the individual performance bonus program an annual bonus pool shall be at
1% of bargaining unit wages (for period of January 1, 1995 to June 30, 1995, this amount
shall be prorated to 0.5 %). The bonus pool shall be renewed for each subsequent fiscal
year at the rate of 1% of bargaining unit wages. For each quarter that the Confidential
employees individual department meets performance goals, one fourth of the year's bonus
pool shall be distributed equally to all confidential employees within that department.
The criteria for payment of the quarterly bonus shall be achievement by the confidential
employees individual department of 100% of the goals developed by the Department and
approved by the Town Manager. Departmental participation is optional. Goals must be
developed and approved by January 1, 1995.

A task force composed of representatives of the confidential employees and management
will develop an evaluation form. Final form must be approved by management prior to
implementation.
5. Tuition Reimbursement
Tuition reimbursement program changed to coincide with fiscal year rather than calendar
year.
6. Miscellaneous
Mileage reimbursement tied to IRS rate rather than State rate.
� Employees may participate in the Town's flexible spending account.
A representative of the confidential employees may review all Council reports
concerning benefits prior to submission to the Town Council for approval.
