RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
SUPPORTING A REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY
AND COMMENDING THE EFFORTS OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
TEAM OF JOINT VENTURE: SILICON VALLEY
WHEREAS, Silicon Valley is the high technology capital of the world; and
WHEREAS, Silicon Valley's economic success is critical to the success of the entire
Bay Area; and
WHEREAS, all local municipalities benefit from a strong regional economy; and
WHEREAS, collaboration among the Silicon Valley cities, Santa Clara County, and
the State of California to develop and implement a regional economic development strategy
is critical to Silicon Valley's long term economic future; and
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Team of Joint Venture is composed of
representatives from the State of California, Santa Clara County, and the cities of Silicon
Valley, and it is committed to developing a successful regional economic development
strategy, and it is working in a spirit of collaboration.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town of Los Gatos supports a regional
strategy and commends the efforts of the Economic Development Team of Joint Venture:
Silicon Valley Network to retain and expand existing high - technology companies within the
region.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos, California, held on the 6th day of March, 1995 by the following vote:
