RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
APPROVING AND ENDORSING SANTA CLARA COUNTY JOINT
TELECOMMUNICATIONS GROUP POSITION PAPER: PENDING FEDERAL
TELECOMMUNICATIONS LEGISLATION
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos is concerned that consideration of Federal
telecommunications legislative proposals by the United States Congress must include
addressing and protecting the needs and interests of all Town residents; and
WHEREAS, the Town is a member of the Santa Clara County Joint
Telecommunications Group; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council has reviewed a position paper prepared by the Group
and the Santa Clara County Cities Association representing local governmental agencies to
state what they believe to be the baseline and the most important elements to be included
in any Federal legislative proposal concerning telecommunications regulation.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Town Council hereby approves and endorses the foregoing described
position paper entitled "Santa Clara County Joint Telecommunications Group Position
Paper: Pending Federal Telecommunications Legislation ".
2. The Town Clerk is hereby directed to transmit certified copies of this
resolution to the Santa Clara County Joint Telecommunications Group and to the Santa
Clara County Cities Association, respectively.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos, California, held on the 20th day of March, 1995 by the following vote.
