RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
TO AUTHORIZE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENT WITH MISSION
VALLEY FORD TRUCK SALES, FOR PURCHASE
OF ONE NEW 1995 4X4 TRUCK WITH UTILITY BODY
WHEREAS, on January 17, 1995 Council adopted Resolution No. 1995 14 rejecting
bids, and directed staff to negotiate purchase agreement and return to Council for authorization
to purchase (1) one new 4x4 truck with utility body, and
WHEREAS, three written proposals were received for purchase from Mission Valley
Ford Truck Sales, Swanson Ford, and Fremont Ford, and
WHEREAS, lowest responsible bidder Mission Valley Ford Truck Sales, at $37,240.86
listed a minor exception that will not effect operational needs of the Town, and
WHEREAS, savings obtained through negotiated process was $301.90, and
WHEREAS, savings of $41,490.66 (Acct.2201- 77004) from replacement of fixed asset
SEWER005 in FY 1993/94 will be used to purchase new vehicle.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos
that the Town Manager be authroized to execute an agreement with Mission Valley Ford Truck
Sales, for purchase of one new 1995 4x4 truck with utility body at the price of $37,240.86.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos, California, held on the 17th day of April, 1995 by the following vote.
