RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS AMENDING
RESOLUTION 1991 -279 ESTABLISHING THE BOARD OF APPEALS
TO CLARIFY THE TERM OF OFFICE
WHEREAS:
A. Resolution 1991 -279 established the Board of Appeals to review matters
pertaining to building construction and building service equipment; and
B. Resolution 1991 -279 is not clear that members of the Board will continue to serve
until such time as a successor is appointed.
RESOLVED:
1. Paragraph 1 of Resolution 1991 -279 is amended to read as follows:
Appointment and Terms of Office•
The Board of Appeals shall consist of five (5) members who are qualified by
experience and training to pass upon matters pertaining to building construction
and building service equipment and who are not employees of the Town of Los
Gatos. The Director of Building and Engineering Services shall be an ex officio
member and shall act as secretary to said board, but shall have no vote upon any
matter before the board. The Fire Marshall shall act as an ex officio, non - voting
members for issues related to the fire code. The Board of Appeals shall be
appointed by the Town Council. The term of appointment shall be two (2) years
and until their successors are appointed and qualify.
2. All other terms of Resolution 1991 -279 are unchanged.
PASS AND ADOPTED at a regula meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos, California, held on the 1 st day of April, 1996 by the following vote.
