RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
DECLARING ELECTION RESULTS
OF THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF
MARCH 26, 1996
WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election was held in the Town of Los Gatos on Tuesday,
the 26th day of March, 1996, and was conducted in form and manner as required by the law of the
State of California governing the elections of General Law Cities and,
WHEREAS, Dwight M. Beattie, Registrar of Voters of Santa Clara County has declared that
at the Primary Election held on March 26, 1996, and consolidated therewith, a Special Municipal
Election was held in the TOWN OF LOS GATOS for the purpose of passing Measure "C" Utility
Users Tax and,
WHEREAS, the results of said Election were canvassed by the Office of the Santa Clara
County Registrar of Voters in accordance with applicable provisions of the California Election Code
and,
WHEREAS, the Statement of Votes Cast, attached to the Certification, shows the whole
number of votes cast for Measure "C" in said Town and in each of the respective precincts and,
WHEREAS, the total number of registered voters was 18,760 and the total number of votes
cast was 9,386 including absentee ballots for
MEASURE "C" UTILITY USERS TAX
That the measure voted for, the number of votes received in each of said precincts, together with
absentee votes, together with the whole number of votes which were received in the entire Town of
Los Gatos are as follows:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Marian V. Cosgrove, duly elected Clerk
of the Town of Los Gatos hereby certify the special election for:
MEASURE "C" UTILITY USERS TAX
RESOLVE FURTHER, that the Clerk shall enter upon the records of this Council the
results of said Special Municipal Election.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos, California, held on the 6th day of May, 1996 by the following vote:
