RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
ESTABLISHING PERMIT PARKING
ON MUNICIPAL LOT #9
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS HEREBY RESOLVES:
Pursuant to Town Code Section 15.40.080 and California Vehicle Code Section 22507,
which authorizes local regulation of parking prohibition during certain hours, the following
regulations are established for a Permit Parking Zone at Municipal Lot #9 within the Town limits
of Los Gatos:
SECTION I - MUNICIPAL LOT 9
1. STOPPING, STANDING, OR PARKING PROHIBITED.
Parking, except by permit issued by the Town of Los Gatos, is hereby prohibited between
the hours of 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, seven (7) days a week, including holidays. 20 spaces
located in the southwest corner of Lot # 9 are hereby allocated for Permit Parking. Signs
will be placed to designate permit parking spaces.
SECTION II - PERMITS
1. THE FOLLOWING PARTIES are entitled to Parking permits.
a. Each resident of or merchant (and employees) in the permit parking zone (as
delineated in Exhibit A) is eligible to apply for a parking permit.
b. A limited number of permits are available and if demand exceeds supply, permits
will be issued by lottery.
SECTION III - ASSESSED FEES:
a. Twenty Five dollars ($25.00) per vehicle for each month a parking sticker issued.
b. Five dollars ($5.00) is levied to replace lost permit(s). No fee is charged to replace
damaged permits if the damaged permit is returned to the Town Clerk.
SECTION IV - APPLICATION AND RENEWAL
1. Applicants are required to complete an application form.
2. Applicants must present proof of residency or proof of employment in the District to
the Town Clerk.
3. Parking Permits are renewable on or before the 1st of each month.
SECTION V - SIGNING
The Director of Building and Engineering Services is hereby instructed to install the
appropriate signs and /or curb markings giving notice to the public of this action.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos, California, held on the 5th day of August, 1996 by the following vote.
