RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
COMMENDING LARRY E. ANDERSON FOR TOWN ATTORNEY SERVICES
WHEREAS, Larry E. Anderson was appointed Town Attorney on June 1, 1993 and has
advised the Town Council in matters large and small; and
WHEREAS, Larry's outstanding intellect and unparalleled knowledge of municipal law
makes him the most qualified municipal attorney in California; and
WHEREAS, Larry has always been solution- oriented and finds ways for the law to allow
practical solutions to the problems and decisions facing the Town; and
WHEREAS, Larry's sense of fairness and justice have assisted in insuring that the Town's
actions protected the interests and rights of its citizens; and
WHEREAS, Larry's turn around time for requests from Council and staff were incredibly
short, but the responses were always complete and concise; and
WHEREAS, Larry's voracious reading of newspapers and other periodicals kept staff
supplied with many examples of better ways to do things as well as reinforced the things we do well;
and
WHEREAS, Larry has dramatically reduced the Town's litigation expense; and
WHEREAS, Larry has accepted a position with the City of Burlingame; and
WHEREAS, Larry has demonstrated remarkable dedication to the citizens, commissions,
Town Council and staff of the Town of Los Gatos.
WHEREAS, in all of the above endeavors, Larry has shown unselfish public service for the
protection of community values.
RESOLVED: That the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos commends Larry E.
Anderson for a job well done, expresses its regrets for the Town's loss, and extends its best wishes
for his success in future endeavors.
