RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
TO AUTHORIZE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE
OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES FOR PURCHASE OF (1)
NEW COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS PICKUP
WHEREAS, in May 1990 Council adopted Resolution #1990 -89 authorizing Office of
Procurement, Department of General Services of the State of California to purchase materials,
supplies and equipment on behalf of the Town of Los Gatos pursuant to Town Code
2.50.130(b)(2); and
WHEREAS, program objective is to reduce cost of commodities through volume
purchasing; and
WHEREAS, in July 1995 Council accepted grant funding from the Santa Clara County
Valley Transportation Authority (formerly Santa Clara County Transportation Agency) Congestion
Management Program, in the amount of $22,500.00 to be used for an alternate fuel demonstration
project; and
WHEREAS, partial payment was received in September of 1995 in the amount of
$16,875.00 to replace one (1) 1980 pickup truck assigned to the Parks, Forestry & Maintenance
Services Department; and
WHEREAS, remaining funds will be received from Santa Clara County Valley
Transportation Authority once vehicle is purchased.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos,
County of Santa Clara, State of California, that the Town Manager is authorized to execute
agreement with Office of Procurement, Department of General Services of the State of California
to purchase materials, supplies and equipment for and on behalf of the Town of Los Gatos
pursuant to Section 10324 of the Public Contract Code.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos, California, held on the 21st day of January, 1997 by the following vote:
