1998-032 - Authorizing the Town Manager to execute a Letter of Agreement with the County of Santa Clara for reimbursement of expensesRESOLUTION 1998 - 32 RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE A LETTER OF AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES. THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: That the Town Manager is authorized to execute a Letter of Agreement with the County of Santa Clara (Exhibit A) for reimbursement of expenses related to the May 9th, 1998 Town -Wide Garage Sale. RFC County staff will: RESO Li� lst. — ` pay the county share (a percentage based on number of households in the area) of the actual costs, including advertising, printing, and salary. Town staff will: • administer the program; • mention that county residents can participate in the sale in all Town press releases, interviews, ads, posters, and fliers; • handle all necessary outreach and publicity; • pay all bills; • create all outreach materials, including a map of the city and county areas showing the locations of all registered city and county garage sales and, • handle all requests for garage sale kits and registration forms from county residents. The County agrees to reimburse the Town 14.4 %of the program's actual costs. This share is based on the assumption that the number of households in the surrounding County areas comprises about 14.4% of the total number of single - family households in the Los Gatos area. The Town and the County have agreed that up to $890.00 will be paid to the Town by the County based on the actual costs: The project budget totals $6,180.00.
