RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO FILE AN APPLICATION
TO THE BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE FOR A
LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos desires to purchase equipment for the Los Gatos
Police Department using funds awarded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance under the Local Law
Enforcement Block Grants Program,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, that the Town Manager is authorized, on its behalf,
to file an application, including all undertakings and assurances contained therein, for a Local Law
Enforcement Block Grant to the Bureau of Justice Assistance and is authorized to act in connection
with the application and to provide such additional information as may be required.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds
required for said grant under the Local Law Enforcement Block Grants Program and that the cash
match will be made available for expenditure during the grant period.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used
to supplant expenditures controlled by this body.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos,
California, held on the 20th day of July, 1998 by the following vote:
