RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AMENDMENT TO THE LEASEAGREEMENT WITH
TEEN COUNSELING CENTER OF THE WEST VALLEY
FY 1998 -99
WHEREAS, the Teen Counseling Center of the West Valley has expressed a desire to
lease additional space in the Neighborhood Center; and,
WHEREAS, there is currently available space in Room 6 of the Neighborhood Center due
to Adult and Child Guidance Center's recent vacancy.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: that it authorizes the Town Manager to execute
an amendment to the lease agreement with the Teen Counseling Center of the West Valley
(attached as exhibit A) to include the use of Room 6.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos, California, held on the 21st day of September, 1998, by the following vote:

SECOND AMENDMENT TO LEASE AGREEMENT IZEC
BY AND BETWEEN THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS AND �$�
THE TEEN COUNSELING CENTER OF THE WEST VALLE
REPRESENTING THE LOS GATOS DOWNTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER
This AMENDMENT TO LEASE, is made and entered into this }day of
��. 1998, and is effective as of the 1st day of October, 1998, by and between the
TOWN OF LOS GATOS, a municipal corporation of the State of California, (hereinafter
referred to as "TOWN ") and THE TEEN COUNSELING CENTER OF THE WEST
VALLEY, a nonprofit organization, (hereinafter referred to as "TENANT ").
WHEREAS, TOWN and TENANT executed LEASE AGREEMENT effective on July
1, 1995; and
WHEREAS, TOWN and TENANT executed an AMENDMENT to the 1995 LEASE
AGREEMENT effective July 1, 1996; and
IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED BY AND BETWEEN THE PARTIES to replace Section
1, and 3 of the July 1, 1995, Lease with the following:
1. Leasing: Town hereby leases to TENANT, and TENANT hereby leases from
TOWN, Rooms 1, 2 and 6 of the Neighborhood Center, consisting of seven hundred twenty-
six square feet (676 s.f.) located at 208 E. Main Street, Los Gatos, Santa Clara County,
California.
3. Maintenance Fee: The rent shall be Seven Hundred Ninety Dollars and
Ninety-Two Cents ($790.92) per month. Said rent is calculated according to the estimated
operational costs, One Dollar and Seventeen Cents ($1.17) per square foot, multiplied by the
square footage occupied by the TENANT (676 s.f.) for a total of Seven Thousand One
Hundred Eighteen Dollars and Twenty-Eight Cents ($7,118.28) for the remainder of the lease
year.
4. The terms and conditions of the July 1, 1995 and its amendment shall remain in full
force and effect, except as herein expressly amended.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this Amendment to Lease on the
date written above, effective October 1, 1998.
