RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS AUTHORIZING THE LIBRARY
DIRECTOR TO DISPOSE OF WITHDRAWN LIBRARY MATERIALS WHICH
CANNOT BE SOLD IN THE FRIENDS' USED BOOK SALES BY GIVING THESE
MATERIALS TO THE SALVATION ARMY OR ANY OTHER NON - PROFIT
ORGANIZATION WILLING TO COLLECT THEM.
WHEREAS, obsolete, worn or infrequently used library materials are regularly
withdrawn from the Los Gatos Public Library collection.
WHEREAS, withdrawn library materials are given to volunteers from the Friends
of the Los Gatos Public Library to sell in a used book sale and the proceeds are used by the
Friends to support library programs and services.

WHEREAS, the Friends are unable to sell all withdrawn library materials in the used

of Los Gatos, California, held on the 5th day of October, 1998 by the following vote:
