RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN DESIGNATION FROM
LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL, 0 -5 DWELLING UNITS PER ACRE
TO MIXED USE COMMERCIAL
FOR A PROPERTY AT 15737 LOS GATOS BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, William Errico and Dennis Chegwin, the applicants and property
owners of a parcel at 15737 Los Gatos Boulevard (Santa Clara County Assessor's Parcel Number
424 -21 -051) have requested in conjunction with a proposed rezoning application, that the Town
of Los Gatos amend the General Plan to change the land use designation for this property from
Low Density Residential, 0 -5 Dwelling Units per Acre to Mixed Use Commercial.
WHEREAS, the Town Council has determined that the proposed General Plan
amendment is consistent with the existing goals and policies of the General Plan and its
corresponding elements.
WHEREAS, the Town Council has determined that the proposed General Plan
amendment will not cause any inconsistencies between the General Plan and the Zoning
Ordinance.
WHEREAS, the proposed General Plan amendment has been submitted in conjunction
with a proposed rezoning request to change the zoning designation of the property from R -1:8
(Single Family Residential, minimum lot size 8,000 sq. ft.) to CH (Restricted Highway
Commercial) to allow for the construction of a new office building and associated public and
private site improvements.
RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa
Clara, State of California, that the Town of Los Gatos amend the General Plan to change the land
use designation for this property as shown on Exhibit A from Low Density Residential, 0 -5
Dwelling Units per Acre to Mixed Use Commercial
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos, California, held on the 5th day of October, 1998, by the following vote:
