ARESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DECLARING 351.72 SQUARE FEET OF PARCEL #529-
05 -049 AS SURPLUS TOWN OWNED LAND
WHEREAS, the Town owns the R.J. Bryant Service Center located at 41 Miles Avenue
(APN 529 -05 -049) which is located adjacent to property owned by Community Housing Developers
at 71 Miles Avenue (APN 529 -05 -044); and
WHEREAS, Community Housing Developers (CHD) has requested that the Town dedicate
351.72 square feet of parcel # 529 -05 -049 so that CHD may widen the driveway to 71 Miles Avenue
in order to meet Town development requirements; and
WHEREAS, CHD has filed an application with the Town to construct 12 very low income
apartment units at 71 Miles Avenue (PRJ- 98 -77); and
WHEREAS, the Town realizes the need to provide affordable housing opportunities for
Town residents; and
WHEREAS, the land CHD requests for dedication from the R.J. Bryant Service Center is
currently unused; and
WHEREAS, the dedication will allow CHD to proceed with its development application for
constructing 12 very low income rental units.
RESOLVED, the Town Council deems the 351.72 square feet of land located at 41 Miles
Avenue (shown on Exhibit A) to be surplus land.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council held on the 2nd day of
November, 1998 by the following vote:
