RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AMENDING THE POSITION AND CLASSIFICATION PLAN TO CHANGE THE
COMPENSATION FOR THE POLICE TRAINEE POSITION, AMENDING THE PLAN
CONCERNING THE COMPENSATION OF THE ACCOUNT TECHNICIAN POSITION, AND
DELETING CERTAIN CLASSIFICATIONS WHICH ARE NO LONGER USED FROM THE
TEMPORARY RANGE /STEP TABLE
WHEREAS, the base salary for the Police Trainee position is related to the starting
salary of Police Officer classification and the percentage relationship needs to be revised from
95 % to 87.55 % due to a change in the Police Officers' payment of the employee's share of the
Public Employees' Retirement System contribution,
WHEREAS, the compensation of the Account Technician classification should be
maintained at the same level as when it was designated as a Confidential position,
RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa
Clara, State of California, that the Position and Classification Plan is hereby amended as shown
in Exhibit A, effective November 16, 1998,
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos, California, held on the 16th day of November, 1998 by the following vote:
