Currently, how are residents made aware of code compliance availability? The primary way residents are made aware of code compliance availability is through the Town's website. First, the Code Compliance Division can be found under the Community Development Department section of the website and it includes the phone number, email address, and working hours of Code Compliance staff. In addition, the home page of the Town website has a "Report a Concern" button, in which community members can submit their concerns 24/7. The next business day, the Code Compliance Officer follows up on reported concerns. The signature block on the Code Compliance Officer's email also has contact information, including working hours. Depending on the situation, and if the CSO is scheduled to work during the request time period, the CSO will be dispatched to the disturbance and investigate accordingly. If the complaint occurs when the CSO is not working, the Police will handle the disturbance and contact Code Compliance for follow up on the next business day. 3. How is a disturbance not observed by the officer handled? If a citizen makes a complaint, and for some reason cannot be observed by the Code Compliance Officer, CSO, or Police, a notice will be sent to the responsible party notifying them of an alleged violation. If the alleged violation continues to occur after notice has been sent, the Code Compliance Officer will investigate and take appropriate next steps.
