APPROVE TOWN COUNCIL MEETING SCHEDULE FOR 2015/2016
FISCAL YEAR
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the Town Council Meeting Schedule for the 2015/2016 Fiscal Year.
BACKGROUND:
In 2004, the Town Council canceled July meetings for summer recess. In 2005, Council
canceled the first meeting in January of each year primarily due to the light level of staffing over
the holidays, which will likely continue given holiday closures. The attached schedule reflects
these annual cancellations.
Additionally, on June 2, 2014, the Town Council approved and amended Los Gatos Town Code
Section 2.20.010 changing regular Council meetings from Mondays to Tuesdays effective
August 2014.
The attached schedule does not show dates for any Council Retreat, Boards /Commissions
Retreat, or Special Meetings of the Town Council. In past years, Retreats have generally been
held early in the calendar year, and Special Meetings are held on an as needed basis.
