A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS
GATOS AUTHORIZING THE TOWN TO UTILIZE THE SANTA CLARA
COUNTY HUMAN RELATIONS COMMIS'SION'S MEDIATION SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos has authorized the
establishment of a Tenant /Landlord Mediation Board by December 15, 1978, and
WHEREAS, the Community Services and Development Commission studied the
complexity of creating a trained Mediation Board with the time constraints
involved; and
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Hunan Relations Commission has trained
mediators that are available to assist the Town with immediate mediation
problems;
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos
does hereby authorize the utilization of the Hunan Relations Commission's
Mediation Services for a 90 day period, at no charge to the Town, and with a
renewable option, and hereby directs and designates the Mayor of the Town of
Los Gatos as the authorized representative for the Town to act in connection
with this transaction and to provide such additional information as may be
required.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos held on the 18th day of December 1978
by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS Ruth cannon, Thomas J. Ferrite,
John B. Lochner, Peter W. Siemens
and Mardi Gualtieri
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS None.
ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS None.
ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS
