RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS REQUESTING
TRANSFER OF TOWN ALLOCATION OF LITTER LAW
ENFORCEMENT FUNDS TO THE COUNTY OF SANTA C.LARA
WHEREAS, the State Solid Waste Management Board under the provisions of
SB -650 has allocated $539.00 to the Town of I20S Gatos for a Litter Law
Enforcement Grant (Section 68049) for fiscal year 1978 -79; and
WHEREAS, the County of Santa Clara Parks Department is planning a
comprehensive litter enforcement program consisting of additional signing and
citation work by Park Rangers in the County Park Chain (including Vasona
Park in Los Gatos), to be partially funded by a litter law enforcement grant
from funds allocated to the County; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council considers that the Town allocation of Litter
Law Enforcement funds could best be utilized to help fund the proposed
County Park Litter Enforcement Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos:
I. Requests and authorizes the State Solid Waste Management Board
to transfer the Town's full 1978 -79 allocation of $539.00 of
Litter Law Enforcement Funds (Section 68049) to the County of
Santa Clara for additional funding of their Litter Law
Enforcement Grant.
2. Directs the Director of Public Works to advise the State
Solid Waste Management Board and the Santa Clara Parks

PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos held on the 4th day of December
1978, by the following vote:
