During the term of this agreement, Company will provide local trip taxi transportation for identified participants at a flat rate to be paid by the Town. 2. Term of Agreement. The term of this agreement is from October 3, 1978 through October 31, 1979, provided, however, that this agreement may be terminated sooner, on thirty (30) days' written notice, given by either party to the other. 3. Identified Participants. An identified participant is a person who, before the beginning of a trip, shows to the driver of one of Company's taxicabs an identification card issued by the Town showing that he or she is qualified to be a passenger at the rate specified in this agreement and presents to the driver a ticket issued by the Town for use in the program. in the program, but this agreement is not intended to regulate that price, and the Town may charge any price it wishes, or no price at all, for the tickets. There is no limit on the number of tickets to be provided by the Town. However, the Town shall only provide tickets to persons who have an identification card. 9. Issuance of Identification Cards. The Town will take reason- able precautions to assure that it issues identification cards only to residents of Los Gatos who are at least 62 years old or who are disabled. 10. Sharing Rides. Further, where there are more than one participant who share a taxicab from a single place of origin to a single destination, Company may collect only one ticket from the participants. 11.
