A RESOLUTION MAKING A FINDING REGARDING
THE VALUE OF WRITTEN PROTESTS FILED AND
NOT WITHDRAWN AND ORDERING THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED
AS "PARLEY ROAD NO. 3" TO THE TOWN OF
LOS GATOS
On June 7, 1978, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of
Santa Clara, State of California, pursuant to a petition signed by the owners
of some of the property within the territory to be annexed, approved the
annexation of the hereinafter described area designated Farley Road No. 3 to
the Town of Los Gatos and by its Resolution No. 78 -97 directed the !'own
Council of the Town of Los Gatos to initiate proceedings to annex the territory.
On July 3, 1978, the Town Council adopted Resolution No. 1978 -111
initiating proceedings for the annexation, and setting a public hearing to
hear any protests against the annexation for its meeting of August 7, 1978.
Notice of the hearing on the proposed annexation was given as prescribed in
Sections 35055, 35220 and 35223 of the Government Code. No written protests
were filed prior to the conclusion of the hearing.
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS FINDS AND RESOLVED:
A. One written protest was filed and not withdrawn by an owner of
land or improvements (Assessors Parcel No. 424- 21 -36) with an
assessed valuation of $3,715, which is less than 50% of the $8,390
total assessed value of land and improvements within the territory
proposed to be annexed.
B. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 35229 of the Government Code
of the State of California, the annexation to the Town of Los Gatos
of that territory designated as Farley Road No. 3 and described in
real property description and map attached hereto marked Exhibit "A"

and "B ", respectively, is approved and the territory is hereby
ordered annexed to the Town of Los Gatos.
C. Upon completion of these annexation proceedings, the territory
annexed will be taxed at Town of Los Gatos Tax Rate A. including
taxes for existing bonded indebtedness.
Do She Town Clerk is authorized and is hereby directed, pursuant to
the provisions of Section 35350 of the Government Code to prepare
under seal a certified copy of this resolution giving the date of
passage and immediately transmit the copy along with a remittance
to cover the fees required by Section 54902.5 of the Government
Code to the Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation
Commission of Santa Clara County.
