A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE
LOS GATOS POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos has been experiencing serious
problems with traffic, noise, and "cruising" in the
downtown areas; and
WHEREAS, it has been the desire of Los Gatos residents and the
direction of the Town Council that these problems be
solved; and
WHEREAS, the Los Gatos Police Department devised and implemented
a very successful program to deal with these problems; and
WHEREAS, developing and implementating this program involved many
long hours and special dedication on the part of the
members of the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council believes that the efforts of the
Police Department merit special recognition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Los Gatos Town Council
hereby commends Chief Johnson, Captain Young and all of the regular
and reserve officers of the Los Gatos Police Department.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS,
CALIFORNIA, at a regular meeting held this 7th day of
August 1978, by the following vote:

John B. Lochner, Peter W. Siemens and Mardi Gualtieri
